          Padraig O'Sullivan

            About Paddy

Born and raised in County Cork, Ireland, Padraig’s love of horses came as something of a surprise to his father. As a teenager, however, he had already developed a quiet passion for Irish racing and pedigrees.

At just 17, Padraig applied for a position at Coolmore Stud in Tipperary, around two hours from home. He was successful, beginning what would become a career working with Thoroughbreds around the world. He initially worked with mares and foals at Coolmore, building a strong foundation in stud and horse management.

In 2020, Padraig moved to Australia to join Aquis Farm before accompanying a shuttle stallion back to Ireland. He later returned to Australia to work at Widden Stud in New South Wales, where he progressed to Stallion Manager and had champion sire Zoustar among the stallions in his care.

His international experience has also included time at Waikato Stud in New Zealand, preparing yearlings, and Darley in Japan for the 2024 Northern Hemisphere breeding season.

Padraig returned to Australia in June 2024 to take up the role of Stallion Manager at Lovatsville.
